We use a very good-quality, high-definition television in order to produce the holographic fire effect at the center of our technology. As a matter of fact, the television that we are using in our 2021 model is the best quality of any that we’ve sold so far, and it’s a significant improvement in not only picture quality, but sound as well, over the previous years models. It is true that it does not have a true black level, but for most flames that’s unimportant.
For instance, many of the flames have bricks in the background, so it doesn’t matter that it’s not a true black. Some flames do show a little bit of dark grey in the background, but for most customers, it’s not a big deal. With our fireplace, you’re getting something that looks as close to real fire as possible, without actually setting something on fire. Indeed, the technology is not perfect, but our fireplace will get you much closer to the look of a real flame than anything else on the market by a considerable margin. In my opinion, it looks pretty darn good, and I’ve seen a lot of electric fireplaces.
