No. Our technology is far more advanced than that. You’re absolutely not looking at a television, even though we do use a high-definition television as the source to project video of fire onto a real physical log set.
With our fireplace, we use special holographic glass that goes over the log set. We then project a real video of actual fire onto that glass. Because of the special properties of the glass and the way it bends light, you do not see the glass itself, only the fire in the glass. Then you see a real physical log set behind the glass. With the flames on top of the glass and the logs behind it, it looks like the logs are actually burning with real fire.
We’ve patented this technology so we are the only one that makes it. The flames look real because they are real. This fireplace is by far more realistic than anything else on the market. I won’t say it’s indistinguishable from the real thing, but it gets you pretty darn close, without actually setting anything on fire!
