No. Our fireplace does not rely on water mist or steam in order to create its fire effect. With those devices a gray water mist is tinted orange to look like fire. When the water runs out the fire stops. For that reason, it has some serious drawbacks. Not to mention real fire is not one shade of orange.
We use a far more convincing holographic projection technology where we will project actual video of a real fire onto a log set making it look like those logs are actually burning. You get all the subtle details like wispy smoke and burning embers, just like a real fire, but with none of the drawbacks of a water-based technology.
