Can the insert be hardwired?

Yes. The insert can be hardwired. It comes with 2x 6 foot grounded power cords that come out of a junction box on the back, right hand corner of the insert. A licensed electrician can hardwire directly inside of the junction box for a direct connection to your home’s power supply.
