No. It goes together very quickly, like any other piece of furniture. If you can turn a screwdriver, you will be able to assemble our mantels in 20 to 30 minutes. It can be done with one person, but we recommend two. The only tool that is required is a screwdriver. Complete installation instructions with diagrams are included.
