No. Keep in mind that televisions are measured diagonally. So a 55″ inch television is not necessarily 55′ inches wide. It’s actually less than that. This size is ideal for one of our larger mantels like the Trinity or Artemis. Our mantels are extremely sturdy and can support the weight of even a large television. It’s not a problem if your television is slightly wider, as it’s not uncommon for a large television to be slightly wider than the mantel. It’s a matter of cosmetics and preference, but not a problem with size or weight. Feel free to be creative with the size of your television as it’s not a limitation.
