A local contractor can build a simulated stone mantel for you. For instance, he can build a wood frame and can use simulated stone purchased from Home Depot or Lowe’s to look like a stone fireplace surround. We’ve had many customers do this before and the result is fantastic. It’s not as complicated or expensive as it might seem.
